Agency "Novosti", quoting a source from Moscow Law Enforcement Agencies, relayed
information regarding an attack in an apartment inhabited by several gays at
Novokuzminskaya Street #2/8, in the south-east of the
capital.
According to the source, a group of young adults
broke into one of the apartments, occupied by homosexuals, and attacked them
with hand-weapons.
"As a result of the attack, four people suffering
knife wounds were rushed to on of the city's hospitals. Of these, one is in a
coma and another is in extremely critical condition," sites the source.
A
search is underway to capture the perpetrators. No details have been
released.
As previously reported, this is the 6th attack on gays this
year in Russia. In Saratov, during the New Year Holiday, the famous
poet-song-writer Yuri Druzhkov, author of the hit songs from the 90s,
"Bukgalter," "Ksyusha" and "Lexa" was killed.
During the first half of
January, journalist Vitaly Lazarenko was cruelly murdered in his Moscow
apartment. In March, journalist of TV Station NTV Ilya Zimin was found dead in
his apartment. In April in Novosibirsk, a soldier/prostitute suffocated his
client after sex. Finally, in May Special Coorespondant of TV Program "Delovaya
Moscva" (Business Moscow), shown on Channel TVTS, 37 year old Vyacheslav Akatov
was killed.
