In Arhangelsk Orthodox Bishop Informed Local Authorities About “HomoThreat”

Rev. Tikhon, the Bishop of Arhangelsk and Kholmogorsk, on special meeting informed the audience about a threat that “so called “liberal approaches impose on the issues of the traditional family and marriage”. The meeting was also attended by deputy governor of Arhangelsk region Ms. Elena Kudryashova, who is in charge of social issues.

Among “major threats” Rev. Tikhon named the growing number of same-sex unions, especially “the propaganda” of so called “same-sex marriages”. And according to his words the “gay propaganda is constantly growing higher and higher”.

The local officials, figures of the culture and educational community of Arhangelsk tacitly have agreed with the words of the representative of the Russian Orthodox Church that “condemns non-traditional relations between sexes”.
