'The so-called democrats consider that sexual minorities are the main indicator or main symbol of democracy, but we will forbid the propaganda of views of sexual minorities', cites Luzhkov's words Interfaks News Agency.
Furthermore, in his opinion, 'the propaganda of views of sexual minorities could cause the spread of HIV-infection in the city'.
'Certainly, we will be criticised by all democrats in the world, but in each society there are particular views on this matter', the mayor of the capital emphasised.
Luzhkov also criticised advertising campaigns of some of condoms producers.
'Some companies claim that condoms are reliable guaranty against AIDS, but contemporary science proved that this is not true. Claims that condom is an absolute protection from AIDS are used by condoms producers to increase their sales', said Luzhkov.
He expressed negative relation to 'the propaganda of the so-called safe sex', which in his opinion only enlarges the problem of AIDS in the world.
