"Coming out" LGBT organization (St-Petersburg) welcomes everybody to celebrate the International Day Against Homophobia (IDAHO) on May 17th with launching into the sky color air-balloons. The motto of this action: "Help a rainbow to light up over the city".
Since 2003 LGBT organizations around the globe celebrate IDAHO. The idea was given by Mr. Louis-Georges Tin, the French writer and scientist. The date was not chosen by an accident - in May 17th, 1990 the General Assembly of the World Health Organization expelled homosexuality out of the list of mental diseases.
"Come, take with you or we will give you rainbow colored air-balloons and walk with us through the city. We will give to everybody the leaflets informing that Homosexuality is NOT a disease! The action will end by a picturesque united "deliberation" of air-balloons that would all at once soar up into the sky over the city making a Rainbow. The more balloons - the better and more bright and picturesque would be the Rainbow over our city!", the gay action organizers' call to LGBT citizens and to everyone who cares for the future of our country.
