The Gay Pride of three Baltic states will be held in Latvian capital - Riga on May 16th. "Interfax" reports the Riga City Hall's special commission on public meetings agreed the LGBT activities in Riga's downtown on this date.
The Gay Pride will take place at Vermann's park and its vicinity. The Pride's organizers earlier expressed their apprehensions about Riga's authorities would not allow the aforementioned activity on the grounds of preserving public order. On the same reason Riga Mayor Office has banned planned on March 16th parade of SS legioneers (fascists). Moreover, some Latvian politicians called for the reciprocal refusal of Victory Day celebrations in order to equal both sides.
