The 18th "Slavonic bazaar in Vitebsk" officially starts today in Byelorussia. This music event is gaining popularity among LGBT people of the former Soviet Union. It has become the second significant musical event in Europe that attracts LGBT people.
Not every Russian pop-star that is engaged somehow in LGBT-community's actions and was previously scheduled to be on the list of "Slavonic bazaar" performers would participate in the contest. However, Valery Leontiev has given his solo concert on the eve of the Grand opening of the music forum of popular Slavonic song, thus making an informal start to this cultural event.
Besides Leontiev, the "Slavonic bazaar - 2009" will also host solo concerts of Boris Moiseev and Filipp Kirkorov. But its stud would most likely to be Alexandre Rybak - a Byelorussian by his ethnicity, who won the "Eurovision 2009" song contest in Moscow and brought victory for his new homeland - Norway.
