Final Preparations for the International Conference of Gay Christians Taking Place in Moscow
According to the organizers of the conference, the participants have one goal in front of them – “to unite and raise their voices to change the current situation … in which LGBT-Christians are excommunicated from their respective churches.” “…the International Interfaith LGBT-Christian Conference is positioned to become a breath of freedom for many LGBT-Christians and to show the LGBT community, as well as society in general, that LGBT-Christians have something to offer churches as well the LGBT community and society,” – as quoted from the official press release. “We invite everyone who is not indifferent to the situation in post-Soviet countries of LGBT-Christians to participate in this conference: theologians, priests, gay activists and ordinary believers - everyone for whom Christian faith is a way of life …” appeal the organizers of the forum.
