The photo show of Russian gay photographers Seva Galkin, Alex Bego, Sergey Vasiliev called "The guys as we are" recently has unveiled in Berlin. Deutsche Welle reports that culture event transformed into a vivid propaganda of Russian and German projects on AIDS prevention.
The show was also noted by German LGBT activists who decided to "use the masterpieces of Russian photographers not only for attracting the public (German LGBT community) attention to the problems that their Russian counterpart are still facing with, but also to speed up the bilateral gay collaboration in these issues".
The exhibition was open for the public in Berlin's Axel Hotel for 2 weeks since 15th of November and finished with a vernissage on the eve of the Int'l Day against AIDS. Activists of German LGBT organisations fighting against AIDS, their Russian guests from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg, Seva Galkin, Alex Bego and Sergey Vasiliev and their German friends and colleagues, representatives of Berlin's gay community participated in the vernissage.
For reference - The first photo show "The guys as we are" took place in spring this year in Saint-Petersburg and aimed at fighting homophobia in the Russian society.
