The Russian LGBT Network prepares for RWAHO-2010

For the fourth year in a row the Russian LGBT Network is one of the organizers of the Russian Week Against Homophobia unveiling in many cities and regions of the Russian Federation. Recently the exact dates of the RWAHO were announced - it will start on April 5th and ends on April 11th.

Other gay rights organizations and queer groups are welcome to participate in the RWAHO. The Russian LGBT Network announced that it would give financial support for the events that regional Gay organizations would like to hold during that Week. The due date for the aid application is 21st of February via e-mail: v.polushkina@gmail.com.

For reference: The Week Against Homophobia is an unique attempt to attract attention of the public to the issue of gay hate and its danger for the whole society. It is an opportunity to respond homophobes by creating a space free of any kind of discrimination and hatred towards anyone. In its frameworks different information and education events, actions, film shows, photo contests, flash-events, discussions, human rights projects' presentations, seminars and round-tables are being held.
