Chelyabinsk will host the Second Rainbow Strike LGBT Bowling Championship in April 2010, reports the official site of the project. The more precise information on the day of its opening will be given later.
The idea to host these championships was born among Chelyabinsk's LGBT community in 2008, but the first championship was held only a year later - in Summer-Autumn 2009. Final tournaments were forerun by series of warm-up plays that have united the queer society and its friends. In 2009 several teams participated in the Rainbow Strike and among the prizes were good mood, souvenirs and other valuable presents.
The Chelyabinsk's Rainbow Strike was backed by the Russian LGBT Network, Antidogma project and other LGBT organizations. It has won the popularity among the audience and the proof of its growing popularity are the numbers of Rainbow Strike group participants in www.vk.com - during the last year it has doubled.
