In anticipation of "Rainbow Flash 2010 (originally scheduled for May 17th) the organizers of "Film Your Friend" explain the purpose of "Film Your Friend".
Within a few months the YouTube Channel "Rainbow Flash 17th May" will post messages against homophobia. Gays, lesbians, transsexuals and bisexuals will record short videos with their friends, relatives and colleagues.
An impressive collection of video clips taken on a webcams, mobile phone or professional equipment was collected by early May. Producers of the clips are people of different ages, backgrounds and political views. All share one thing - the desire to speak out against homophobia.
Remember that 20 years ago (on the 17th of May) homosexuality was excluded from the roster of diseases of The World Health Organization. According to statistics about one third of Russians still do not know that homosexuality is not a disease. Hundreds, maybe thousands around the world are going to be reminding people about it by taking part in "Rainbow Flash 2010". Details at their site >>
