Queerfest said good-bye to the audience... until next year!
28 Sep. 2010

The 2nd Int'l queer-culture festival is over until the next year and finished with the Rock concert last weekend. Around 3000 people have visited the events of the Queer festival in Saint-Petersburg.

"We would like to thank all those who had supported us in bad times and enjoyed our happiness in good times. We are grateful to our partners - clubs, businessmen, non-profit organizations, consulates, all who gave us material, information and diplomatic support. Thank you all who helped us to talk about tolerance, non violence and non discrimination. Many thanks to artists, painters, photographers and poets whose artworks was a source of happiness and inspiration during those 10 days...", says the official statement of the Queer Fest.

Its vivid final coda was a Rock concert staged in Petersburg's club "Orlandina". Organizers call it Grandeur - 12 rock bands from Moscow, Saint-Petersburg and other Russian cities for eight hours in a row enjoyed the audience.

Towards its end a charismatic Swede rock performer Jay-Jay Yohansson presented his latest version of his acoustic program for the Russian audience.
