They are ready to file a suit to the International Justice and law enforcement bodies against the Russian Ministry of Justice.
Oktyabr district court of Arkhangelsk has proved the decision of Arkhangelsk region Justice department of the Federal Ministry of Justice made earlier right when it had refused to register a new charter of the "Rakurs" social organization.
For reference: The Justice Ministry's regional department refused to register the amendments to the existing charter, such as its new aims and goals: "defense of human dignity, rights and lawful interests of victims of gay hatred and discrimination on the grounds of one's sexual orientation and gender identity, as well as socio-psychological and cultural support and adaptation of homosexuals".
The Russian Justice Ministry's officials have discovered in "Rakurs"'s activities "a discrimintaion of heterosexuals' rights, extremism, solicitation of discord and even a threat to the State's sovereignty".
Before the recent court hearings the "Rakurs"'s lawyers have presented to the court the statement of Dr. Igor Kon, a well-known professor and academic of the Russian Education Academy (RAO), but the judge has missed the points of the professor's statement who had identified the refusal in registration of the new charter of the "Rakurs" as "legally and morally groundless, discriminative and subject to repeal".
Igor Kochetkov, the Chairman of the Russian LGBT-Network, said that "the decisions of the Ministry of Justice and the court were not only illegal but also absurd. We will press for repeal of those decisions and for observance of the right to establish a social organization (union) for every citizen irrespective of his or her sexual orientation or gender identity", stressed Mr. Kochetkov.
NB: The "Rakurs" organization based in Arkhangelsk is a member of the Russian LGBT-Network.
