The "Coming out" LGBT organization from Saint-Petersburg is supporting for the second consecutive year the work of the "Parents' club" - a society that unites parents and close relatives of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transsexuals.
This evening the ordinary meeting takes place in an extraordinary format. In the first part of the event the film of Susan Polis Shutz "Anyone and everyone" is scheduled for show by "Side-by-side" film festival. This film is about parents of different ethnicity (American, Japanese, Bolivian, Indian) and religion (Mormons, Jews, Hindu, Catholics and Baptists) who tell their personal stories about their children’s coming out, reveal their emotions and share the wisdom of family love and acceptance.
The second part of this LGBT event is planned to be as a support group focused on actual issues of parent-children relations, coming out and acceptance by the family. "Parents' club" is functioning in the premises of the social center "Coming out" on Ligovskiy avenue (web site with automatic translation >>).
