"Coming Out" Photoshow - a project of Russian gay activists, dedicated to 24th anniversary of the International Coming Out Day - starts in Moscow in 7freedays Club on ÒFree Life TerritoryÓ. The Vernisage starts from October 10 till November 1, 2011, reports the action's Internet page in one social network.
This project was carried out by a group of people from ÒRainbow association" who share same ideas and Yana Yanotowska. The main goal of this show is "to express to the society and people around the emotions and feelings of a person who hears the word "coming out".
"It is very important for us to show the first emotional associations", say its organizers during the opening of the show. "Not what a person knows or thinks about the coming out, not his (her) attitude to this issue, BUT the first feelings and emotions that he (she) is feeling when making his (her) Coming out".
Please, follow this project on its web-site >> (the link is in Russian and may be inaccessible from abroad).
For reference: The history of the Coming out Day begins with the establishment of the National Coming out Day in the USA that is taking place every October 11 since 1987. At that day half a million of demonstrators marched through the streets of Washington D.C. demanding equal rights for LGBT people.
