Rainbow NewsAttacks in Moscow continue: a Spanish and a French beaten
16 Oct. 2012
French businessman Sebastian B. and his Spanish friend Jose V. were attacked in Moscow in the early morning of Sunday, the 14th of October. By occasion, it happened not far from a gay club where there was a known attack two days ago. The Spaniard who is a diplomat and an actor got his face smashed and a tooth knocked out.
"The conflict was based on homosexual orientation and ended with two victims being beaten," - information agencies report. The two foreigners immediately went to the police. The gentlemen suppose the reason for the conflict to be their homosexuality. The police have started an investigation. "The foreigners were attacked because they openly showed their homosexual orientation on public," - report the police. The details of the attack became known to Lifenews.
The foreigners immediately contacted the police unlike most of the Russians who had been attacked in a gay club on the 11th of October, 2012. At least three people there were taken to the hospital. One of them spent over three days in the clinic under doctors supervision. "Only one crime notice has been received by the police," - reported news agency RIA-novosti four days after the inñindent.
There were about 80 people in the club that night who attended the event of the Rainbow association. Russian LGTB-network asked all of them to file a crime notice to the police, offering legal support. Only two people (a girl and a guy) asked for the help in the human rights organization Agora. The lawyers are studying their cases to represent the victims in the court and insisting on initiating a criminal case. The police has seized the videos of the cameras in that club and confirmed that "they are of good quality".
