State Duma's Mizoulina confirmed that "gay-propaganda" in the Internet would be banned
9 Apr. 2013
New amendments to the law on the so-called "homopropaganda", which had been approved during its first reading by the Russian State Duma in January this year, stipulate the extrajudicial possibility of denying access to Internet sites that "propagandize homosexuality among minors".

This scandalous law is going to be approved during its second reading in the Russian Parliament scheduled on May 25, 2013 and be signed by Vladimir Putin on June 1st - on the International Day on Children Protection.

The RBC daily, citing the author and lobbyist of anti-gay laws in the State Duma - Elena Mizoulina, reports about the new initiative of the deputy which she had voiced earlier. Now her intentions have been brought to life via the certain amendment to the "Law on Protection of Children". "No one of adults has the right to impose his(her) sexual preferences on a person who is under 18 years old". "Homopropaganda has to be labeled as information excluded from minors", believes Mizoulina.

It is most likely that the list of Internet content excluded from minors would be extended. Internet-sites suspected of "homopropaganda" will be black-labeled and blocked on the whole territory of the Russian Federation. The process and means of filtering of the illicit "homopropaganda" up to now are not defined.
