Rainbow NewsSon of Mizoulina "Can't" and "Won't" Discuss Mother's Law Proposal
8 Jun. 2013
Nikolay Mizoulin, a lawyer-partner with "Mayer Brown" company from Belgium (personal page on company's Internet site), an entiity, that has been known as a sponsor of many LGBT projects in Belgium and abroad, in his interview with Ridus correspondent refused to talk about the details of a scandal that was connected with his name and his mother's activities - Elena Mizoulina, lobbyist of gay hate laws in the lower house of the Russian State Duma. No reaction has also been seen on his personal Twitter account.
He called this situation as "unpleasant" but refused to give any comments, saying that he did not want and could not speak about her.
On the threshold of approval of gay hate law that was developed by Elena Mizoulina, a prominent lawyer of the Russian Federation, professor, Master of Law, the liberal mass-media and queer community recalled again the fact that the son of the deputy was not only residing for a long time abroad of Russia - in Belgium where the rights and freedoms of homosexual people are legally protected, but has also been working in a company which is known for its principle: "the best place to work for a LGBT employee" due to highest equality standards adopted there.
Alfred Koch, a well-known in the past Russian state figure, told about that fact in particular. In her response, Ms. Mizoulina had cynically presumed Koch's attachment to "pedophile and homosexual lobby".
"I reserve the right to be a representative of any lobby", responded Koch in his Facebook account. "But, if my child, whom I had raised and given good education, were working in the West, in an organization that had been publicly supporting the LGBT movement, then I would have regarded myself unjust to educate the nation in a quite the opposite way...".
The gay hate law that was noticeably refurbished by Elena Mizoulina is going to be approved in its second and third readings on June 11, 2013.
