Rainbow NewsFirst winners of Russian LGBT Open Games received medals from the hands of Greg Louganis
1 Mar. 2014
Moscow and its region continue hosting the First Russian Open Games for LGBT.
On Thursday badminton athletes were sorting out their relationships, identifying the best players in singles and doubles. Same energy was flowing in the competitions on table tennis, which were, as promised, attended by the four-time Olympic champion Greg Louganis.
In the afternoon took place master class on figure skating led by the president of the "Federation of LGBT Sports of Russia" Constantine Yablotskiy. In the evening - two educational and advocacy activities for participants of the Games.
Unfortunately, the conference "LGBT Rights in Sports" was not carried out due to technical reasons, and is scheduled to take place on the following days.
In the late night there was the awarding ceremony for the winners of the day's competitions. Greg Louganis was the host, he addressed the participants of the Games with words of support and pride for our efforts.
